Tillis Prepares to Serve in 2007-2008 Session

Thom Tillis is using his time wisely as he prepares to serve in the 2007-2008 legislative session.  Tillis has a schedule full of meetings with legislative members, community leaders, and business people and he expects the schedule to ramp up even more in the Fall.

Tillis says "The meetings have been very productive, and I am very pleased with the warm reception I am receiving."  Tillis has traveled to Raleigh twice in September and has attended study commission meetings.  He has several trips planned to Raleigh and other areas across the State in preparation for his term, which begins in January 2007.

Tillis is unopposed in the upcoming General Election, but he said he does not take anything for granted.  Tillis will be working to get out the vote and to help get other Republicans elected in the General Assembly and in the local Mecklenburg County Board of Commissioners election.
