The by-laws of the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce prohibit the
organization from endorsing political candidates. However, that
does not stop members of the Board of Directors and members at large
in voicing their support for Thom Tillis. Take a look at the
growing list of Board members and others who have voiced their support
for Thom Tillis.
John Hettwer (Board Member and President of Payroll Plus)
"Thom balances his well-conceived, conservative ideology with the
ability to work with others in getting things done. I am
confident Thom will be able to provide the same reasonable voice in
the North Carolina House of Representatives for District 98, which has
been absent over the last few years."
Karen Lawrence (Board Member and Owner of "It's My Affair" Meeting
Management) "Thom has been actively involved in
a variety of endeavors to improve the quality of life in our region.
From his leadership as Chairman of the United Way of Lake
Norman/Mooresville to his hands-on efforts to improve our schools,
Thom is clearly committed to putting the citizens of the 98th District
first."
Norris Woody, (Board Member and Principal AXA Advisors)
"Thom Tillis brings a common-sense perspective that is rare in elected
officials. He is direct, open, and honest and he works with
follow lawmakers, business leaders, and community leaders to get
things done."
Susan Tillis (Member and Realtor with Allen Tate Realty)
"I'll admit some bias as Thom Tillis is my husband. However, I
work closely with a number of the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce
members and other business leaders. The consensus is clear, Thom
Tillis is working with us now and he will work hard for the 98th
District as our next Representative in the North Carolina House."
Jayson Polo (Member, District Manager AFLAC)
"I have first-hand experience in dealing with Thom
Tillis in his capacity as Town Commissioner in the Town of Cornelius.
Thom demonstrated a commitment to being business friendly, and he put
forth innovative ideas that helped bridge the gaps between groups with
different priorities."
